5 Upcoming Netflix TV Series 2019 - What do we have here!??
5 upcoming Netflix TV series that are scheduled for release in 2019 is what you will find below & all are more than worth checking out!
1.) Our Planet - David Attenborough returns with, what appears to be, another spectacular display of the Earth, with all the delights of mother nature, combined with the extraordinary behavior of the animals that inhabit it.
I’ve always loved David Attenborough & even more so, his voice. He is so calming & explains things in ways nobody else can. I suppose you could call him the Morgan Freeman of nature.
The trailer looks good & I will most certainly give this a watch, especially after I upgrade my Netflix subscription from HD to 4K!
2.) Chambers - I can’t seem to find a trailer for this upcoming supernatural series, yet it has seemed to increase my arousal somewhat.
This 10 part TV show stars Uma Therman, who I haven’t seen in a movie since Kill Bill & also stars Tony Goldwyn. Netflix have confirmed that Chambers is about a woman who is consumed by the mystery of a donor who saved her life & that a young patient starts taking on sinister characteristics of the deceased.
Based on that description alone, we could have ourselves a really dark/twisted series. We (obviously) won’t even get the slightest of feeling’s as to whether it will be any good or not until we, at least, see a trailer. Therefore, as soon as one arrives for Chambers, it will be uploaded in an instant!
As promised, the trailer has been added below & it’s actually a lot darker than I had anticipated. Whether that’s a good or bad thing, I do not know, but I what I do know, having now watched the trailer, is that it looks supremely well made & my impression is that it is highly likely to be something you won’t be able to get out of your head/stop watching until the entire season has come to a close. I call that ‘the Pringle effect’.
3.) When They See Us - This is a series based on a true story of the ‘Central Park Five’ case, where by a woman was sexually assaulted & five teenage boys are brought into custody. The show focuses on the US criminal justice system & exposes it for what it was during this case.
Victimasation of particular ethnic origins in the U.S.A appear to be common practice & I have watched my fair share of movies, series & documentaries surrounding this subject. Not all have been great, but some of them have been emotional invoking roller coasters that, although have left you with a bitter taste in your mouth, have also left you more educated, open minded & aware. When They See Us could be one of them.
4.) Stranger Things 3 - I’m genuinely surprised that I haven’t written a review for Stranger Things, but after Season 3 airs, I think it would be criminal if I didn’t.
Season 3 of this much loved show has been hugely anticipated & I cannot wait to get my teeth sunk in to it’s membrane.. too much!? As far as I can remember, it was Stranger Things that attracted me/kept me on a rolling Netflix subscription & can you blame me? This is one of the most sought after TV shows on the planet right now, with nothing but 80’s themed gold sprinkled all over it. Not to mention an array of highly talented youthful actors that make up the ‘gang’ we all know & love.
Every single episode of the past two seasons have been at the highest level in terms of quality, so I have not one doubtful bone in my body that Stranger Things 3 will be any different, so much so, that my mouth salivates just typing about it.
5.) The Politician - This a series that immediately sparked interest for me. Let’s face it, there’s not a lot out there about a show centered around anything political.. well, perhaps nothing noteworthy, anyway.
This series is directed by Ryan Murphy who, from what I have read, likes to showcase actors/actresses who have a lot more experience under their belts, although, there is set to be a mix in The Politician, such as, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler & Ben Platt.
Unfortunately, once again, there is no trailer as of yet, but the plot is about a high school student who has been convinced since the age of 7 that he’s destined to be the president. ‘Payton’ (played by Ben Platt) is the student & the show’s description goes on to state that he has to battle multiple challenges all at the same time, including his classmates, being elected as student body president & securing a spot at the infamous Harvard.
Now, I don’t know about you, but if this show is done right, i.e., a mix between utter seriousness & the right type of comedy (not ridiculously fast paced conversations & obnoxious wit - Suits, anyone?), we could have a really great show on our hands.
There you have it! That’s 5 upcoming Netflix TV shows that are scheduled for a 2019 release.
What did you think of the list? Does any or all have you interested?
Comment down below any TV show’s you are looking forward to this year on Netflix & I look forward to seeing what you write.
